Prescott Stone Fabricators is committed to searching for the largest possible slabs for your job. This is done to give us the greatest flexibility in the layout of your project. For kitchen counters, this could result in the elimination of a seam. (We should stress that our standard seams, when necessary, exceed the industry standards. We will guarantee a 1/16th inch or less and usually, it is 1/32 inch or 1/64 inch.) However, when seams must be present, we can sometimes create what we call a "factory seam." These seams are matched according to grain and color and are laminated in our shop resulting in one piece; a long and beautiful expanse of counter. In many cases, it is difficult to see or feel a factory seam. Home
